Let notable figures from Geelong’s past guide you through the historical sections of the Geelong Eastern Cemetery. Visit graves of many of Geelong’s influential people where storytelling and interaction with costumed interpreters will transport you back in time!
Let host Godfrey Hirst guide you on a walking tour within the cemetery and visit the graves of Mary De Garis, Andrew Love, Caroline Newcomb, Robert de Bruce Johnstone, Eliza Batman and Francis Nesbitt.

By purchasing tickets and attending this tour, you agree to accept the following terms and conditions:
Timing: Please ensure you arrive at least fifteen minutes prior to allow time for parking and entry, with the Tour to commence at 11:00am at the main entrance, 141 Ormond Road, East Geelong. The duration of the tour is influenced by attendees’ capacity to maintain pace with the tour guide.
Accessibility: This Tour takes place within the old sections of the cemetery, on a range of different and uneven surfaces including grass and gravel, which may have restricted wheelchair access in some pathways. There is a reasonable amount of walking, frequent stops and periods of standing, with no seating available at these stops.
Topics: The Tour is suitable for a range of ages, however attendees under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The stories told in this Tour may cover topics which some attendees, including younger attendees, may find triggering or emotionally challenging to listen to.
General: As this Tour is performed outside, it is recommended to dress for the forecasted weather and if needed, bring your own umbrella. Attendees are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful, responsible and safe manner throughout the Tour.
Refunds: Please note that tickets are not refundable except in the event Geelong Cemeteries Trust cancels a Tour – at which time all attendees will be notified in advance and fees will be refunded.
