Robert McIldowie
A grave with another tragic story, being that of Robert McIldowie.
He had been employed at Geelong’s Union Woollen Mill from the age of 15. When he was 22, he was accidentally crushed when he apparently knocked a lever that started the machine in action.
His wife, Agnes was left with two young children at a time when there was no welfare support structure.
